Happy 2 months to my Darling
It hasn't been an easy task being a SAHM these 2 months. Throughout this period I could really see how much my baby has grown and progressed. Of course it is very fulfilling to have my little princess to myself 24/7 but sometimes, I do wish she can be less demanding. Hubby dotes on our baby so much and sometimes he's asking me if I wished she could stop growing and remain at this stage. No way! I would like to see her gradually grow up to be a big girl. Can't wait to see her roll over, sit up by herself, crawl and walk. Princess still very petite at this stage and still able to fit Newborn size tops. *LOL*

湘颖's first injection and health assessment
Not wanting to pay the extra $ and do much travelling, hubby and I decided to bring our little Darling to the clinic at our housing estate.
There are 2 doctors stationed at the clinic and we decided to go to Dr Eileen Tan.
She's the doc who tested me positive and did blood test for me and Keith.
Very nice doc. Very personal touch.
We opted to do a health assessment ($18) and take the 6 in 1 vaccination ($99/dose, total 3 doses).
Vaccine for Pneumococcal ($168/dose, total 4 doses) and Rotavirus (forgotten the price) we might not do.
They are really costly and I think since those are optional, then not a MUST to take it.
Below video of Darling being poked by Dr Tan.
Weight at 8 weeks: 4kg
Height at 8 weeks: 51.5cm (although I measured like 54cm at home)

Maternity leave extended
It's official.
I can be a full time Mummy for the time being, returning to work on 16th Nov.
When I return to work, it's gonna be a new challenge, taking on a new task.
Meanwhile, I'm going to enrol my Darling in infant care and build up my EBM supply so she can be on BM even after I return to work.

Food for my gal
I dedicate this post to Mummy Dearest.
Mum, if you are able to see now, you will be so so proud of your gal.
Your granddaughter is coming 8 weeks now and she's still on TBM.
FM, yes she taken the first 3-4weeks but eversince my supply came in, there was no need to supplement FM at all.
She is latching on much better these days and if she fusses a lot, I'll just give her EBM.
Like you often encouraged me, BM is the best gift a mother could have given to her child.
I fully agree wth you! And I simply love the closeness with 湘颖when I'm nursing her.
Not to forget how convenient night feeding has become. No bottles, no heating required.
Just pop her over to my side and nurse.
There was even few times we both fell asleep while she was suckling halfway.
On left: NAN HA (which we had to discard after opening 4weeks but not fully consumed)
On right: My EBM *beams*

My sleeping beauty
All poses are natural and not posed by me hor.
Had a hard time waking her up for her feed.
She simply cannot wake up despite Mummy moving her around.

Well I don't have the habit to wake her up for her feed on routine but this particular day she woke up from her nap and was crying for milk so I went to heat up my EBM and by the time milk was ready, she fell asleep again.
Wondering when she can sleep through the entire night and no need to wake up for her night feed?
Day feed varies from 3-5 hours but her night feed very punctual. Every 3-4 hours sure wanna drink.

湘颖 gets snipped
My bro was appointed by my father to snip off some hair for my Darling daughter.
This is not a Chinese tradition.
Rather, this was (I think) some old Filipino tradition that a baby should have the first haircut done by a gifted or bright person so that the baby will sort of like "inherit" the good qualities from this person.
Needless to say, my bro best fits this assignment.
Just fyi, this was taught by our long time ago Filipino maid.
舅舅looking smug with the tool
Poor little girl who had no idea what was going on
